Is it possible to bomb a plane mid-air for a kill?

Just curious for any up coming strat raid intercepts? Thinking about taking a mass of bombers head on with 2 sets in formation and dropping the small bombs into them to see how many I get in a pass  :x :banana: :devil

Want to do this early enough to re-up and finish them off :neener:

IIRC I've been killed in a fighter by a bomb. Or that happened to a squaddie - one for all an all for one...

LCA did an FSO B17 formation drop back in 08, dropped his bombs over his friendly Leprtard and... well no more Leprtard.

I guess now I just need to determine how small a bomb I can use to actually get the job done. If I can use the 100lb bombs that will allow for a few salvos for spread. Obviously not much splash but Id rather shotgun it than rpg. Will practice in the training arena later today and report back.

Even 100lb bomb will probably take out the drones, when I hit a Lanc with an 85mm HE it takes out the drones as well.

You can also drop supplies on another plane for a mid-air kill.

When you kill the pilot, the drones blow up too.

I did this with a Mosquito VI to B24s in AHII sadly my old PC died so I do not have the film of it

I remember a FSO that Hopper bomb killed a bunch of us. I can still hear his laugh and it still comes up on occasion on FSO nights.  :devil  :airplane:

I have done this many times.  Be sure to be over 1o00 feet above the enemy plane or set of bombers.  This allows for the 800 feet to activate the bomb.  Be sure to be slightly ahead of your target plane.  Letting all bombs will help in the overall effect.  Flying a set of bombers with little bombs is the best.

I have also used the pilot controlled front gun in B-26 formation to dive on another set of enemy bombers and eliminate all 3 bombers in one dive pass from the rear.

This sandbox game allows a player to do things not normally done in real life.  That's where the smiles come in.
