what the shots do is lower your chances of getting  seriously sick or dying. all of us who take the shot are given that info.

I was never given that info when I got the first 2 rounds of Pfizer.

However I did read today that the CDC said that having had the virus offered better immunity than the shot when it comes to Delta variant.

I  made the appointment online and had to agree that I read that part before I even made the appointment.  also when i went to get it had to sign a form that told me that.  and given a pamphlet to take home that also said that.

as for the cdc statement, just checked their website and it says getting the covid does give you some protection but also you can get seriously ill or die.

See South Africa for how well natural immunity fought off omicron and how they are worried in western nations that have more vax immunity than natural

To not consider natural immunity as good as this messed up vax is another strange move to say the least

south africa does limited testing that's not proof that it is doing better than us.  if it was true then why 90% of deaths are among the unvaccinated here.

might as well compare the west to north korea, they haven't had any deaths. it's that proof that a closed society ward off infections better?

Glad you and the wife made your vax choices...yes it sounds like your wife was one that this thing affected much more than the average exposure

My grandkids live an hour away

I made the choice to - to take the risk of the vax in order to calm my son and see the gkids

What I don't have an issue with if you choose to get the shot or not or get tested or not or what you do at all...sorry just not that paranoid

If the thing worked as advertised originally no one should care but it doesn't and if the unvaccinated require negative test to do something so should the vaxxed as they can spread it as well and are more likely to have a asymptomatic experience and may not even know they have it..
