GV HELP PLEASE...
« on: March 27, 2022, 01:58:20 PM »
I find nothing on how to setup your stick and throttle for GV. NOTHING...

Stick set  two is still aviation settings.

Where the hell is throttle, turn the turret, Go forward, backup, steer ??????

Does anyone have a conversion to GV commands. Every thing I have tried doesn't work.

Are shore guns the same ? How bout ships guns ?  NO info...

Thustmaster 16000 with a throttle, CH rudder  pedals.

All of them are in the control mapping area. Select a button while in "Mode 2", goto the "vehicles" area of the list and assign the button. Axis for the turret/gun can be assigned to an axis but I think pretty much everything else is button presses.

My turret rotation and elevation are tied to my joystick, while my throttle controls forward and backwards, as well as speed control. My main gun is tied to my trigger button on my joystick. I also have my position selection mapped to a 4 way switch on my joystick.

All this time you’ve been killing so well in a GV using a Joystick!!!  Wow  :bolt:

Nopoop I’m all keyboard and mouse like Jinx. If you see me on and still would like some help don’t hesitate to hit me up, recently I’ve been using auto-side switch, but I’ll turn it off. I’m no where near as good as Kenaii or Jinx, but they’re tops in the game…

Just a suggestion, but if you see Rooks have a spawn camped, best to try elsewhere until you’ve gotten all your controls down. Once you do, you can get slaughtered over and over with the rest of the Knights lol.

The moment I spawn into a GV I switch to keyboard and mouse - much more enjoyable than trying to use a joystick. WASD for movement and mouse for axis.

Not sure if there are default keys to do turret tor gun traverse since they are on axis.

I think that would be your roll axis and pitch axis. The rudder axis controls the direction of the vehicle turn left/turn right. Assign them to your mouse or joystick.

Yaaay!!! Got it !!

Next question.  The GV spawn arrows on the map. Can you spawn on the arrows or are you always starting from your own base ??

When you select a GV you'll see different "launch points" like plane runways.  H is always the VH at that base, the other spawn buttons correspond to the arrows you see on map leading away from that base.
Surrounded by suck and underwhelmed with mediocrity.
I'm always right, it just takes some poepl longer to come to that realization than others.
I'm not perfect, but I am closer to it than you are.

And your vehicle will be facing the button direction when you spawn in ie. s south, ne northeast.

Tip: if you spawn into a camped spawn, kill engine asap, to keep your location unknown.

There was this thread from about ten years ago that seemed to cover tanking pretty well.  It might help.  Or I may be barking up the wrong tree.
