Post Your Barnstorming and Insane Maneuvers!
« on: April 19, 2022, 07:48:04 PM »
I'm new and looking to improve my ACM and have fun at the same time. So I think it'd be awesome if everyone shared their insane maneuvers they've pulled! Might give me some ideas, while also just sharing eye candy.

Here's mine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98XDn5FqKQs

I really enjoy flying on the ABSOLUTE deck. I've taken Spits and Ta 152s down city streets between the buildings at max power, and I just got a clip today of me flying a Spit 9 through a field hangar without clipping anything.

Post away comrades!  :airplane:

Welcome, Tig!    Really enjoying your enthusiasm for the game!  Between you and Decoy my faith is being restored about the number of potential players for AH still out there!

As fas as down in the weeds fighting, for some reason I really love the P39Q for this job.   There is something about the cockpit location or sitting position that provides the pilot with a lot of confidence when you're down low.   It's not fast enough to catch the majority of attackers though, unless they're willing to turn with you.

Dang it, Pluto!  Don't you know an angel loses its wings every time a Lightning is shot down?!    :devil

NICE ONE PLUTO! Wish I could afford a VR set, it would make the whole simulator incredibly cool.

Yeah oboe, funny enough I found AH3 because I once played an extremely similar mobile flight sim on an old Ipad. It may have been some code ripoff or some legit mobile adaptation I didn't know about. Whatever it was it sparked my love for dogfighting sims!
I mentioned in another thread that I'm actually a high schooler, and an AFJROTC cadet. Yes, I have a solid plan that I am following to become a USAF pilot, so in my mind the tactical thinking AH3 gives me will pay off greatly! I have no plan to stop learning anytime soon, and AH3 is one of the best ways for me to do that, aside from real life pilot's training, which I should be starting next summer. Who knows, maybe you'll see me on the arena!

I gotta say I do like the '39, that big old nose cannon is just so wonderful, and I have to agree, it's a wonderful plane to fly! Right now my favorite plane for flying in the weeds is probably the Spit 16, the maneuverability and overall Spitfire soul is just such a joy to fly and fight with!

Note: You should probably play Danger Zone before you look at the pictures.  :D

Whenever I'm with someone experienced on the Training Arena I love to attempt the Foreign Relations stunt, among others. So have some Top Gun eyecandy.  :rock

And here's the last ones I got.

Big shout out to callsign: CGAR and callsign: Galm1 who helped me pull these off, don't know if they're on here or not.
(CGAR was in the 109, Galm was in the Corsair)

Just a little thing I did that made me excited! I finally started being decent at my dogfighting after a little study and practice, so I just hopped into an arena with callsign:Nash to 1v1. We both turned icons off, so it was strictly visual, and I also fly with all my digital readouts off (alt, heading, IAS, autopilot, control position, etc). This was about as close as I could get to fully realistic dogfighting!

Still happy I managed to score a kill! Nash flew the F6F Hellcat (and put up a great fight), I was in a Spit 16.  :airplane:

This is a perfect example of an "Oh I am screwed" image.  :rofl

Just so you know, that's not VR, just TrackIr head tracking, still not super cheap, but cheaper than a VR rig :)

Here's another, AR-234 on and off the CV (no RATO)

The two I posted were flown in VR but the videos were made from AH film. The Spitfire film is funny because I landed on the wrong runway but stopped in the perfect spot.
