NICE! I've always liked Hank III wants nothing to do with the Nashville cesspool of "talent"

The video has subtitles. Cuban style music.

Is that your stereo? A modified Sony turntable with moving coil and valve pre-amp?

It's not modified, it's just that the way I have it set up the turntable is too far away from the receiver (15 ft leads) so I was getting a bit of signal loss and hum.  That gave me the excuse to get an outboard tube pre...

Also.. The TT is a rescue work in progress.  When I got it it was in rough shape and really didn't work at all.  I've now got it to decently play records but the automatic function is finicky and needs to be cleaned, readjusted and the optical sensor bulb needs to be replaced.  There's also a capacitor in the strobe circuit that needs to be replaced.  These mid to late seventies Sony decks were some of the best ever made and since they are sleepers can be had for very little (unless it's a pristine museum piece).

And... It's not a MM cart but it IS an authentic Shure Premier with a brand new stylus.  Unfortunately, Shure has gotten out of the turntable business but I find their carts to be some of the most pleasingly musical *affordable* carts ever made.  Going from an Ortofon Red, for example, to the Shure is like night and day.. Virtually zero sibilance, deep transparent bottom and a wide pleasing soundstage.

It's a nice system, my compliments. I do like Sony's approach. I have some Partridge SUTs languishing in a drawer somewhere. Project number 223 on the todo list  :rofl
