Hearings are most commonly held for three reasons: to consider pending legislation; to investigate issues that may require legislation in the future; and, to investigate and oversee federal programs.

While the power to investigate is broad, the Supreme Court has since ruled that Congress must confine itself to “legislative purposes”

I'd like to see these folks, who in multiple vids and pics worked in an organized manner on:

Rolling up large sections of fencing, and removing the posts.

Clearing out lots of police barricades.

On a tower with a bullhorn spending an hour trying to persuade the crowd to move forward to the building.  He also worked on rolling up fencing.  And the guy with him on the tower.

Seeming to give instructions to others who then move forward to engage police.

At entry points, persuading people to go into the building.  Also, interacting with some of the aforementioned.
