How many of you are in Southern California?
« on: July 08, 2022, 10:51:26 PM »
I'm in Bellflower.

Born in Long Beach and the family moved to Phoenix when I was seven. I lived in Arizona thirty six years and moved back here in 2008.

Semp, I know you're in Rancho... and I'm waiting for you to invite me to have a beer with you at your bar.

Anyone?

Can't make it for a beer at Semp's bar.  You go ahead.

I lived in Pasadena for a dozen years.  That was about 25 years ago, though.

Still, I miss Zankou Chicken, El Pollo Loco, Lucky Boy, and of course In-N-Out.

Funny thing is when we moved to Texas we thought we were saying goodbye to El Pollo Loco and In-N-Out.

Nope! They're in Texas too.

Pasadena is still very nice.

I like California but of course I don't like the politics. People are great though. People I meet everyday are always great. I like where I live too. I'm only 8 mikes from beaches in two different directions.

I lived in Arizona most of my life though and I do miss Arizona. But that place has gotten so expensive it's crazy.

Today I am in South Los Angeles to work on a very large flatbed printer. The place I'm at manufactures marijuana edibles. This place looks like a hospital inside and they have all kinds of things here to extract and make these vapes, and edibles. Pretty interesting.

The answer is right on the site you posted the image on.  There are Embed codes to just copy and paste.  Full-image and thumbnail.  I removed the first and last bracket from all the codes and pasted them in so you can see it for the picture above it.

Pasadena is still very nice.

That's good.

When I first moved there for school, there was a place in Pasadena called "Old Town".  It was run down, with pawn shops, a massage parlor, and boarded-up buildings.

Then it got renovated into a posh area full of restaurants and clubs.  It became popular, safe, and thriving, and especially mobbed in the evenings.

I'm glad to know it's still doing well.
