You might try "Opentrack" seen here:

It is free and now has facetracking so you do not need "AITrack".  Use a Logitech C270 webcam:

You will get reliable facetracking for $30.  Best part is you don't need to wear any IR transmitters on your head like TrackIR and others.  My wife has been using this set-up for about 6 months in DCS and loves it.
