Man this one really hits me hard. I have flown with Ack-Ack since AirWarrior. He was a mentor to me in the early days learning the 38 . Always a blast to sing with or fight against. I need to find the Pass while I’m was there n my 109 and he was in the Devil of death and we had a very close merge. Once I find it I will post it here.

RIP
AckAck

Wow sad news for the community, Ack-Ack was part of the furniture of Aces High. He will be missed, I feel lucky to have played AH with him.

not to make this about me, but this hit me hard. I just lost my dad two weeks ago. Suddenly. I just found out another AH friend has a golf ball sized brain aneurism. He's young and has a beautiful  family.

Things like this are part of life, but they sure do hurt.

This is really tough news. I always enjoyed Ack Ack weather it was in a knife fight or just chatting on 200. I always liked him. My thoughts and prayers for your Mrs and family. Salute old friend  :salute

I clearly remember learning quickly to fear the P-38 lurking around at low-medium alt when I was new to AH. He was kind enough to offer advice when my frustration became obvious.

It’s possible after years in AH2 I may have gotten an assist.

RIP AKAK

They're casting their bait over there, see?

What an awful loss to your family and this community. I've been gone for many years and seeing this upon my return is heartbreaking. Ack was one of the good ones. Bless your family ma'am. Prayers of comfort knowing Ack led a life well loved by you and his cartoon friends here.

Sorry for your loss

I also remember flying against him in Air Warrior. He killed me so many times in his P-38. Went into the dueling arena and gave me lessons

I found Ack-Ack's YouTube channel.  Not many videos there, apparently he was just playing around with recording videos a few years back.  Watching him fly again does help a little with the shock of his loss.

Hello,

I am Ack-Acks wife and with much regret I must announce that he passed away on Oct 1, 2022. He loved this game and had many happy hours shooting down people in his p38. I'm sorry for the delay, I was making arrangements for him.

Thank you, Hitech for being someone he highly respected. Thank you for all the hours of fun you gave him.

With much respect,
Zmy; Ack-Acks widow
My sincerest condolences.  :salute

Very sad to hear. Was notified via phone. Had many enjoyable fights & chats with Ack-Ack over the years. Once tried to convince him it would be only fair if he crossed his eyes while shooting. Because of him I cook huevos rancheros for breakfast sometimes and also quesadillas for my family even though we're Europeans. He was a fellow RC car fan. Never did complete that conversation.

:salute AKAK, condolences and sterkte Mrs. AKAK.

 :(

This hits close to home.  AKAK was one of the primary reasons I started flying the P38s.  Not so much emulate him but just to try and figure out how he was so dang accurate in it.  He was always helpful and even though I was shot down by him a lot... no seriously... a LOT, it always had us trading salutes and then a private "WHAT did I do to screw THAT one up??" or "HOW did you do that???"  Since then, I have just kept flying them, probably always will.

Prayers and my sincere condolences to his family.
