Experimenting with a "fog" layer over water.  Comments?

I think that is very nice.
Back in 2022 after a loooooong break from 2010. Old name Ratpack, same for the BBS.

Squad I did the most tours with were the Excaliburs then The 172nd Rabid Dogs. Still trying to talk Illigaf, Coola, Oldman22, and Joecrow into coming back instead of being boring old farts!

How did it impact the frame rate?

Doesn't have a noticeable impact on my system.  I see 144 fps just below or above the layer, and 144 fps at altitude looking down.  (My frame rate is capped at 144.)

I'm running a GTX980, and see some degradation in FPS when clouds start getting thick. Not sure what effect "fog" would have on it. I'll try to test it on an offline map, and let you know. What were the settings for your fog?

It's a "Thick Layer" at 150 feet.

Springtime in the Falklands.  Thought one winter terrain was enough, so changed to the Med tile set.

Only an observation Kong, but the strats of the southern most country (green) seem more accessible than the other two.

Thanks for having a look.

Strats for all countries are about the same distance from enemy airfields, but some are more accessible from ships.  I like symmetry on my maps, but the land masses and islands do make for some advantages depending on the luck of the draw, which I hope will make for a bit of variety in the map cycles.

Well said Popeye, while perfect symmetry is desirable, it is not realistic. In my mind, it would be more desirable to have each country have some unique attribute/advantage.  :aok
