This skin is an adoption of "2.Erg/JG2" by Klauss. The way he wrote this designation is incorrect and makes it appear as though the aircraft he skinned belonged to Jagdgeschwader 2, which it does not. It is probable that he copied it from an incorrect reference. The correct designation for his skin would be 2./EJG 2 (
Ergänzungs-Jagdgeschwader 2 - Supplementary Fighter Squadron 2), a unit derived from a supplemental nightfighter unit made up of various aircraft types. Futhermore, the aircraft he skinned was a 109G-6/AS which better fits on the AH 109G-14. So my skin replaces his with an actual 109G-6 from Jg 2. There will be a follow-up thread for the original 2./EJG 2 scheme on the G-14.
Bf109G-6 operated by 8./Jg 2 from Creil, France in the fall of 1943. In September of that year, each Gruppe in Jg 2 expanded to 4 squadrons each with the new squadrons using blue tactical markings. The camouflage pattern is typical of Erla built 109G-6's with saw-tooth pattern on the wings and polka-dotted mottling in 4 colors; RLM 70 black-green, RLM 74 gray-green, RLM 75 gray-violet, and RLM 02 gray(beige).
