Planes enables at Port
« on: February 26, 2023, 01:31:22 PM »
Buzzsaw has the Brewster and I16 enables at the V-Bases as most of  you know. Would it enhance the game any by enabling the Brewster and I16 at the Ports and the Flak bases??

I think it would certainly change the aspect of the Vehicle base to have a Brew. It's a very tough plane to fight against and could have a big impact on attack planes. Not sure if I'm for it or against it right now.

I would like all early war planes available from all vehicle bases with refueling available for all aircraft on all maps

It would help gameplay imo

Enabling bomb-carrying early war planes at Vbases would definitely change game play.  :D

It would probably change the priority of destruction of the ords at those bases, for sure.    :D

It would lower flight time to fights/ help action level with current subscriber numbers

Isn't that reason enough?

Enabling bomb carrying planes at Vbases is a bad idea IMHO, reduces the tank vs tank combat opportunities even more.
Wanna bomb tanks, bring a plane from a nearby airfield.

I disagree. If early war dive bombers are enabled, they might actually get used. They're slow and have a limited bomb load, but proximity to a fight might give them some appeal.

For those interested, I have the I16 and Brewster enabled at the Vbases and the Ports on the new "blacksea" map. I have thought about the Stuka,  and IL2, being enabled at the Vbases, but never considered the SBD. Might make for some interesting combat.

in the AVA i have had all the planes enabled even at ports or vbases. you cant launch a bomber from a vbase, this i know. as for the ports, theres a nasty dip and a short runway....good luck and gods speed!

when we could make custom objects like airfields in the old AH2, we had some really cool stuff you could actually do. now its too much like work.

At the ports I'd add in a couple early war naval aircraft, A6M2, D3A, B5N and SBD to go with the storch, brewster and i-16. I'd say one of the wildcats but that might be a bit much.

I like the idea of lightweight early War naval bombers enabled at the Ports.  Regarding the Wildcat, I have the sense that the Brewster can actually outperform the F4F.  I don't know if Lusche's stats would bear this out, but my impression is that it's something of a monster among early War aircraft.
