OK, who is looking at this just to find out what Nomenclature means?
I was having a read of some old WWII "Aircraft Recognition" Magazines I've got and came across this article. Thought it might interest a few people.
It is basically a fairly comprehensive listing of all the Japanese aircraft types and designations. and includes charts detailing amongst other things the allied code names (Jill, Betty etc), True Model name, Engine details etc.
Anyway have a look. If there is enough interest I will scan anymore articles which I think might be of interest.
