Vegas pros and cons?
« on: June 18, 2023, 06:28:43 PM »
I've DLed Vegas, because I was just trying to make vids using the most cost effective way. But to be honest, I'm not really happy with what I turned out with Movie Maker, it's "O K", but not the standard I'm seeking. I call those two movies "low-budget vids". Sky banding seriously PMO.

Anyone have any pro and con advise before I buy this thing?

So far, I've tried default motion blur, and was totally not happy with that, but then I'm green with Vegas and prolly don't know the program yet.

Have you tried "Devinci Resolve"? They have a free version. I have it downloaded but have not had the time to mess with it yet (looking forward to retirement time :)) From what I have read its a pretty powerful program. Im looking forward to messing with it.

Not yet, I am shopping though. I did see some mention of it. I'll prolly look into it soon.

I haven't learned enough about Vegas to know if I want it or not. They sure are proud of it for the investment they demand. Gives me the impression of a money pit.

Evidently, I have some codec tweaking to do with Vegas. I downloaded an update of K-Lite Codec Pack,....it has a boat load of codecs and tweaks.

BTW, I'm coming close to retirement myself, about 1.5 yrs. Yep I'm counting down that far off. 45 yrs is way too long in one biz. Looking for hobbies.
