It takes a village…
« on: November 26, 2023, 01:31:19 PM »
It takes a lot of people to get our fat butts off the deck!  :salute If you were or are one of them!

Pop Quiz: Name the plane?

Back in 2022 after a loooooong break from 2010. Old name Ratpack, same for the BBS.

Squad I did the most tours with were the Excaliburs then The 172nd Rabid Dogs. Still trying to talk Illigaf, Coola, Oldman22, and Joecrow into coming back instead of being boring old farts!

Here's my favorite one on the right. The old man circa 1973-74.

There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

You saluted the men who "helped get our fat butts off the deck"... I replied with a picture of my father, who was a flight deck "final checker" at the time of this picture. He later went on to be a plane captain, and then went to OCS in Pensacola, FL. He retired as a Lieutenant after 20 years of service.

There is usually a reason when your support crew picks up a few extra members who try to obscure what’s on your wing.
