Thanks to Lyric1 for finding the info for this skin, particularly on helping me work out which unit the vehicle was from.
This Wirbelwind was part of the AA company of s.Pz.Abt 519, a heavy tank destroyer battalion equipped with a mix of Jagdpanthers, Stugs and Jagdpanzer IV L/70s. In early 1945 their 3rd Company was suborned to the 246th Volkgrenadier Division who in March were defending the area just south of the important town of Darmstadt in south western Germany. When the US 30th Infantry Division overran the area in late March they found this Wirbelwind abandoned, most likely out of fuel. Most Wirbelwinds that were photographed were unmarked but this one had the battalion's crest painted on the front of the turret and the number 036 on both sides.
