Russian WWII film Yaks vs Messerschmidts, women pilots
« on: December 21, 2023, 10:28:12 PM »
The special effects of this film look very good.  I think there are several Russian WWII air combat movies that look quite authentic.

The Great Patriotic War. There are heavy battles in the USSR, the German army is advancing. A unit of female pilots arrives in a mixed aviation regiment. All of them are young, unexploded and at first do not quite understand what war is. Russians make excellent war movies, if they just leave propaganda out of them. One recommended is White Tiger. Kind of horror/fantasy war movie. Another good one is Tanker. Neither of these has propaganda.

Not perhaps the most realistic fight scene but action level high. Those who know what means deflection might find some shots bit special.

Don't know the name but there is a movie with an Il-2 and its pilot which looks quite interesting.

Seems like a composite character but maybe the movie title should “The White Rose of Stalingrad”.

that does look really well done. I'm so sick of the over the top Hollywood treatment and the fake AI crap they put out. This looks like a piece of art.
