Something needs to be done to get the numbers in this game and I think it's time we had a serious chat about it. :airplane:
[/quote]

There’s a lot that’s needed.  Just simply fixing this lopsided 2 country beats down 1 country would help the most. Getting rid of passive things like 88 that can kill a plane near a whole sector away. Remove the big battle ship that people pull up and close down a field to avoid a fight, then the guy has to fly near 8 mins to the base for defense. Make the maps smaller. We don’t need 700 bases per side for everyone to play whack a mole with. Now none of this has to do with new guys but has everything to do with getting guys back in here that all ready knows how to fly and operate the game. Crowds draw crowds. If the game was fun and there were a lot of people in the arena people may want to check it out. Once we get the interest level back up of actual AIR combat then we can work on new guys.
Can you imagine a new guy logs on let’s say 8pm cst, let’s say he’s a rook (like last night).  There’s 34 bish 31 knits and 33 rooks.  Nits and bish haven’t fought each other since about 5pm and both are deep into rolling rook bases (like last night) well that new guy is gonna up into about 2v1 at best odds. Hell I logged at 8pm due to not being able to get off the ground. On both fronts solid dar bars and it was a sea of angry sharks that was starving due to imbalance and lack of fights in the air.
Balance the arena with a two base cap to spread the fighting out, humans are lazy and will follow path of least resistance o matter how boring. We need to fix what we got first before inviting new people in. Let’s be honest most new comers come for the planes and the dog fighting and these days it’s more either shooting ground guns or taking on the horde.  The days of airplane filled skies are gone given way to the hordes and the base sneakers that spend more resources shut down a base to avoid fights than the air fighters that used to be in here.

Just another troll account. All 5 of his posts were today. Hitech should spend a bit more time monitoring and bouncing the trolls.

As for the post, even tho it is a BS posted only to try and create havoc....

As a "former player" you should know better than any that dying is what motivates most player to get better. If they dont have that motivation, they leave. Its what has kept the game alive for more than 20 years.

I wish Hitech would turn on the cross channel comms again so private messaged could be sent like they were before in the old days with one cavit. Create a popup box that says "so and so has sent you a PM would you like to talk with them?" and a yes and no check box. If yes you can connect, if no, for as long as your on line for that seccion they can not PM you. Even a newb can work his way through that.

"WE" have had many discussions about getting the numbers up. Many good ( I think) suggestions have been made to help with that that are very minimal work to Hitech to try, but as always, it is in his court to deside.....if he hasnt already decided .... which way he want the game to go.

I actually like this idea about comms. I cannot stand not being able to contact the player on the otherside. If they are not on 200, there is virtually no way to communicate with them.

We used to go to the training arena for safe flights.  There is not nor should there be a safe space in the Main arena.  I came up in AH getting pounced by Muppets, Jokers, Rolling Thunder, AK's, Claim Jumpers and more murders row pilots than you can shake a stick at.  You will get better, but not instantly.  Rather than asking for a time out, ask for some help from other players.  Most I have found will be glad to share what they know.    :aok

-1 to the original suggestion. Game is more rewarding, as is, and crutches should not be in a competitive space like the MA.
My 0.2 from  my experience.
I've been getting my butt shot off for the last year(my first in the MA), but improving slowly.
Every player I have asked for help/advice/training has been happy to helpMindy,Banshee7, Eagler, Oldman, ZE, LatinLuv, Violater, Lazer)

That being said, I do get the idea why the OP is suggesting something to this end.
With the overall game situation and Dale's health keeping him away from the game, maybe try and focus on what we have? Keep an eye out for new names & either PM them asking if there's anything they need, or getting someone on their side to do so? Cumbersome, but the only thing I can think of we can do right now.

At least it's not like the mods who mute people for "none game related chat" on 200. lolz.

This has angered me too. Promoting other games is ok,  Or say something bad about pretty planes on pretty maps and its killed in 5 min. Most absurd thing. Some bad patterns in this area. Its like someone trying to blow out their own trick candle that won’t go out.

Totally agree with you,
