This was one of two Ostwinds from s.Pz.Abt, 507 captured in the Czech town of Nove Benatky by Soviet troops advancing on Prague in April 1945. By this time the heavy tank battalion had lost all its Tiger IIs to either enemy action or the SS and were making do with Hetzers. The Soviet's Prague offensive was combined with an uprising in the city by its population and the battle continued against fanatical SS units right to the end of the war in Europe.
