Damn... The only one worth listening to is 45 lol.

I don’t listen to any of their words. Its a human voice, its clear, all I need to know. Many are not always political speeches, some are for a event cause they were paid to speak about, with a drip of politics. Ask me 5 min after what they said <shrug> I dunno, don’t care, pay me my money.

I can’t listen to talking head content. 50 words in my eyes automatically want to sleep. We rarely listen to content, we’d all be slicing our wrist.

SS is the PITA, but way more interesting. Good peeps, but extremely serious. We get to watch the practice runs of the 3 marine heles and ospreys for a sitting pres..

With Ford in 92-ish I played the SS for giggles to see if anything would happen. Mistake. Evidently my balls are bigger than my brain. They all sat in a hall by restroom. So I walked by them to go there and all I did was  look straight ahead and shift my eyes one side to the other on purpose, ONCE. By the time I got to a urinal, two took their place on each side of me and one took the stall behind me. Pretty sure he had the uzi out. I didn’t play that game again. And I was working the speech with clearance. No one is going to pull ANYTHING over on them. Nothing is funny.

Ya can’t work these without SS bkg checks every time. I’ve had WH clearance for speeches since 91. Back then they even gave us a certificate to frame for the wall. Not anymore.

I’ve had certified active shooter training which includes spotting possible bombs, and planning exit routes. I’m not against guns, I’m against idiots with guns. Used to have 11. Shot guns since 10yrs old. Was an avid deer hunter. I qualify easily.

45 blew it for himself when he first started. Kept touching the mics and caused feedback and handling noise, which of course he blamed the sound engineer and said on open mic “don’t pay the sound guy”, its on YT video.

Well now, Mr, Idiot. IATSE is union. Say you were burning one of us and not paying? When the union assigns us, every one of us declined, except one. That was their first pres. and wanted it on their resume. Green horn fool.

This stuff means pretty much zero to a vet engineer with a full resume inside the biz, its only interesting to those outside the biz. I’m just digging ending my career on high notes.

I never liked 43s politics, Tumor and I went round and round back then. but 43’s a genuine nice guy with his heart in the right place. He’s been humbled. They all different out of office. All but one are really good people. We’re all humans trying to make our mark in the world and history. I’m no better than you or anyone else.  We all just have diff POV in life.

I’m just Opie from a small country town like Mayberry, I’m still baffled how I ended up in show biz, it should not have happened. I was broke during the 80s recession and was offered work to move gear. It exploded from there totally unexpected. I didn’t attend after show parties, I went fishing on our property in farm land to wash down the plastic environment down the drain in silence.

Chicago Tribune did a full page story on my career, I still don’t understand why. Good story there about Rosa Parks sitting with me at the console while I mixed monitors for Aretha show. IF you know my real name you’ll find it. Worst pic I ever took, lol.

When I went to the bar, yrs ago, town cops would escort me home and beep when i pulled in the drive. What a weird life I don’t belong in. I’m just a dude with a weird job.

Definitely a cool career getting to work with all of those people. Probably not something most people could ever do. I know it's gotta be tough dealing with SS and all of the security stuff. Really cool about meeting and working with Rosa Parks.

I had thought 45 blamed the mic he had, not the sound crew, but I do believe he was just joking about it. I could see how some would be annoyed by his speeches but he's one of the few who don't put me to sleep. I like that he goes off on tangents and makes people laugh. There ain't many commedic people out there currently. I feel a sense of pride as an American when he speaks rather than I should feel ashamed for it. I've wanted that from a leader for a long time. I never really felt any compassion from political leaders who never had any emotion or personality.

I just feel like the media, who is owned by the elites, have done everything in their power to make the man look far worse than he actually is. They want their 40 year controlled candidates. So I feel like many don't even listen to his speeches because of that, which is really too bad. But again, I do see how he could be annoying for some people.

I don't particularly like "the guy".  It's not that at all.  But I LOVE that's he's a walking-mass-meltdown trigger. :devil  Totally didn't have time for him before all that started... then it was on.  Never a dull moment.

I'm kinda same. I didn't even vote for him the first time and I can't say that I'm a fan, however, after I saw the establishment, the media, the swap, the RINOs , and the dems all going after him I figured he must be the good guy. TDR is a riot. I love when they all say they won't take the "Trump vaccine" but they'll take the "Biden vaccine" Same vaccine morons. If Trump told them not to cut off their right hand I bet you a few of them would. I must say it's entertaining :)

Words matter
And to prove it we’re gonna make him eat his.

I doubt he has the nads to come back to Chitcago again.

The person who weaked out, and mixed that slop turned their back to the stage in protest. We don’t play kid games here. We’re a lot of fun, until we’re not. He ACTS like a badas, we call him a punk.

I’ve said enough. Time will bring reality to the forefront.

Next day we did Martha Stewart, whata B! She’s 420ed out and snivels about everything. Go home. lol

We got over star struck decades ago. Just remember, no matter who one praises as a star, in RL we’re all just people. No matter what someone project themselves as, they are just ppl. Its all an act.

I would never ever work with Steven Tylor, he’s pure Dickhead. Turned him down.

Turned down Prince, MC Hammer and Allman Bros in one setting with DB Sound. I wanted AB but didn’t want to go to Japan. Screw Prince and MCH, both mental mush PITAs. MCH was doing 6 shows per week, crew was a revolving door, everyone coming home exhausted and sick. He don’t care. Here’s my middle finger. They were lucky to get 3 hrs of sleep. They were walking delirium. Ppl getting hurt. Almost as bad as David Copperfield, who I spent a week with. 2 crew members died moving his props. One got run over by s 2 ton saw blade. I know how all his tricks work. I helped test them. Had to sign NDA.

Presidents, they only look good on resume. I don’t care, won’t ever use them again as I retire.

Just ppl dude, just ppl. Its all an act for $$. Thry are just AFed up as I am.  Lets go fishing.

Lets go fishing.

Sheesh... I wish.  I suddenly have roughly 55acres of Oak tops to turn into firewood.  Looks like a friggin nuke went off.  Some of the Butt logs were 9ft around. I'm gonna be busy for the foreseable future.

HAHA!
I absolutely know the feeling.
80 heavily wooded acres on the Kankakee River. Mostly old grow white oaks and 12 acres of cherry wood. About 1 mile of river front on the south, 1 1/4 60’ wide creek on the north. 2 bayous, 4 ponds.Grand Parents bought it in 1928 for $4 per acre, they built private fishing and hunting lodges there. They were finally gone in the 80s. Its durround by 3000 acres farm land. When you’re there no humans within miles. My sanctuary.

My bro gets 5-6 deer per yr. I’ve caught up to 120 fish in one day. Mostly bass and blue gil, but northern pike, walleye, crappy too.

In the 70s Army Core cam through to clean river banks and creek banks. Probably 200 large trees taken down.  About 12 piles of tops left in piles the size of 2 story houses. 5 yrs later we slowly burned em. Its strictly prime hunting and fishing land for IN, part of the Grand Kankakee Marsh. The 12 acres of cherry wood trees is the only part that can be built on.

I know the tree nightmare.

A friend at work has 200 acres in Oregon, same problem.

Trees are pretty until they’re not

I recommend at least looking at what you can get selling the White's for Staves (not Saw logs, Staves).  They're real hot right now.  Good chance you're crazy regulated (if not taxed) in your parts, but it's well worth a look.

That was already done and gone.

The State/Army Corp cut them down to make a berm that could drive cranes down, and barrier between the land and water. Our land was created when they straightened the river, which dried the Grand Marsh, read up on it. It was water fowl nation, biggest in the country. You could literally just fire in the sky and hit something.

When the dried it out for farm land, that was a catastrophe to the marsh and wild life.

In the 70s-80s they came back cut those trees out of their way and out of the water to rebuild the berm. Some of those trees took 4-5 people to reach around. Those logs disappeared. The state probably sold them to fund the project.

I'm watching the 12 acres of Cherrywood trees. They are just now reach 18", and the canopy ensured a lot of clear wood. Problem IS, the family wants to sell it to the farmers who took care of it for us since 28. They did that because our land was between them and the water. You take care of my land, you can setup pumping systems on our land to feed the crops. The 3 females in the family have no interest in retaining it and i can be out voted. Stipulation to buyer, that I have life time rights to hunt, fish and camp on the land. Same as if I owned it. SO the race,... can I get those 150 prime trees before they decide to sell? You know how much clear cherrywood sells for? lol

Oh here's some history surrounding our land.

The movie "Casino", Anthony Spilotro, the real name of Joe Pesci character "Nicky Santoro", and his brother were killed in the corn field directly across the river from our land. I was 26 then. They also found cars on our property sunk in the creek.

Kinda funny how city folk always think farmer Brown isn't gonna notice something ain't right.  I'd guess they're lucky they didn't get shot digging the holes.... well, granted Farmer Brown wasn't getting paid in the first place.

Kinda funny how city folk always think farmer Brown isn't gonna notice something ain't right.  I'd guess they're lucky they didn't get shot digging the holes.... well, granted Farmer Brown wasn't getting paid in the first place.

The area was a dumping ground. We had 2 cars sunk in our creek, which was barely deep enough, A guy was shot/executed on our property with a 9mm Mouser. Which is how they got caught. We didn’t visit the land much in the 70s. The guy moved a train caboose there to live off the grid. There were several model T cars abandoned on our property that say there until the late 80s. The state/Army Corp cleaned em out.

They used the country to hang out, hide, and get away from Chicago police. Rumored, Meyer’s Castle (google) in our town was supposedly where Capone played poker, again rumored.

John Dillenger was caught and escaped from Crown Point jail 2 towns over. In the movie made there it shows them hiding in a country lodge in WI I think.

Back then they committed crimes in Chicago and hide in NW Indiana country farm land.

The Biograph Theater where Dillenger was shot is now Chicago Theater, I worked there several times.

A bar/hotel built in our town in 1840s, State Line Hotel, last years was a biker bar Box Seat I used to help bounce. It housed union soldiers during the Civil War. Really cool place, beautiful. We drank at the same bar they did. It had a second basement used for hiding slaves and alcohol, it had a tunnel to church across the street. They used that too in the 20s-30s too. One night at closing, a friend and me got drunk and road our Harleys through the bar snd down the back steps, they didn’t like that. Ha! It was stupit.

My mom was an investigative reporter, talked to cops daily, had police heles land in our back yard to visit. When they found out I worked for AF in the 90s, they’d escort me home from the bar and beep when I pulled in our driveway. Lol

Funny, in the 70s our town only had 2k people, only 3 cops, we literally had our own Andy Griffith and Barney Fife, I’m Opie lol. A close friend was Otis, always in drunk trouble. Killer place to grow up. Now there’s 50k people, mostly from IL, :(

How I ended up in show biz is still a mystery to me. My first job at 14 was bailing hay and picking corn and produce for $1.40 per hr lol.

35 miles from Chicago, just far enough to hide from the city. Evidently, they didn’t get the memo its no longer isolated lands with paved roads.

I’ve had such a diverse multilayered weird life. They don’t call me Animal for nothing lol.
I’m actually very mellow these days. I loathe working in Chicago, with passion. I’ve been told I lived a very colorful life <shrug>

I dropped all that crap when I found AW, it was just too kewl. Kept me out of trouble.
Here I am at 65 trying to preserve the only game I play <blank stare>

My life is sooooo weird AF. Good war stories tho :) come visit any time.
