I finished my first ever Airfix model which was a Mustang. I posted to the large and private Mustang group, and they decided to remove it because it wasn't a real Mustang. But I did finish my first ever model.

Congrats, love to see some pictures. Im working on a Panther and a AH-64D Apache. The panther is 1/35 scale so not too bad, but the Helo is 1/144 scale. If you ever saw the "mits" I have you'd be surprised I got the parts off the the sprue without losing them let alone glued together!  LOL!

In the game Im trying to stick with the G14. Im determined to learn those F'in guns!!! I love flying it but I have a hard time finding the lead for those guns. Im getting there, slowly but surely. If the game had better numbers during the day Id get there sooner  :devil

Still flying the old Brewster ( the only one I like it ), but trying to learn to shoot properly on tanks, especially on the Tiger.

Nice! I'm working on some metal earth models right now. I'm finishing up the Mandalorian N-1 starfighter and then will be working on the F86 and B24 models.

As far as the G14 goes, it's probably my favorite fighter in AH for the most part. I've flown it for years. If you want to TA it up sometime, let's do it. here are some tips to work on.

1. Set up shots for crossing shots rather than lead shots. If they are turning, point your nose where they will be and shoot a short burst when they cross rather than trying to lead them. You cannot look over the nose well like other planes, so leading is very tough. Set your convergence about 400. Anything lower and the bullets drop very hard making lead shooting even harder.

2. Use gondolas. The plane weight isn't going to make too much difference in the MA. This will help you connect with 3 20s instead of 1 and bring them down faster. It's more important to bring them down quickly than it is to chase them with your single shooter and get picked.

3. Defensive counter punch with a reversal is one of the best ways to get kills. Since you cannot out run the speedsters, you have to go defensive and use counter punch to get them in the overshoot. Planes are usually going slower in this situation so you can line up real nicely and get a snap shot. It's helpful to practice this in the match play vs the bots because they are usually easy to get to overshoot. Counter punch defense is one the best tactics for 109s, so I would highly recommend practicing barrel roll defense to luer in your opponents, getting those flaps out quickly to force them to pass. This is a lot of how I fly that plane. The flaps are so nice in that plane and should be utilized as much as you can in a fight.

It's best used for defense or furballing rather than offense due to the dive. It's not a plane to fly at 15-20k, but at 10k and wait for opponents to come to you or go get the lower guys, but this alt will prevent your plane from freezing up trying to dive. Always spiral dive over the top of opponents. Will help you set up that crossing shot easier rather than a lead shot trying to dive vertical.

Nice! Post some pics if you can.  :aok

Still flying american heavy bombers. Currently testing the limits of wing integrity at higher speeds.

I get a sortie or two these days in the k4 when I 1st login ...after that it is trying to stay higher and faster than my new pal in his la7 or 152..

That goes on for the remainder of the hour I'm online

I enjoy the challenge and maybe one day I will kill him more than he does me...and if he's hassling me it frees up the rest from  it..

Still working on "Greenisles"    https://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,406576.msg5424426.html#new

And trying to fly the G14 -- seems like the trendy thing!

Right now, I'm flying my Type-10 Defender (named 'Amboss des Schicksals') from engineer to engineer to upgrade it into the definite Q-Ship for RES Zones. But my Imperial Cutter and Federal Corvette also got some love in the past few days. And maybe I'll fire up DCS and do some sightseeing in the UH-1 later tonight.

Still flying the Deutsches Eisen, and gunnery is still pathetic. Having fun winging up with 113 'Lucky strikes' on their squad night. They tolerate my poor Jabo runs.

P47D-11. Going for the 2500 Kills in a Mid-War plane achievement. I didn't like any of the other mid-war aircraft, (except, perhaps, the -1 Corsair). Currently about 400 short, so another three months or so.. :)

The D-11 has good maneuverability, though not great, and can take punches and remain combat-effective. It can give out punches also.;)  It goes downhill fast, but uphill, that's not a strong point, lol.

In short, it's a 14k plus aircraft, weight-wise, and your tactics need to take that into consideration. :)  :joystick:

Flying.. B17's.

Working on.. completing my sorties and improving my extreme high angle gunnery skills against some smooth high alt opponents.
