Anything you can run on an HDD you can run on an SSD. Are you asking about an external drive?

You can run pretty much anything from an SSD. The amount of read/writes has gone up as fast as the prices have come down.

Just make sure that you have backup copies of anything you'd like to keep as recovering lost data from an SSD is doomed to fail because of TRIM, wear leveling and data distribution assisted by a potentially failing cell will corrupt any data fragments in a second.

Nah, I have FA 1.0 - 4.0 installs on my drive. They run fine.

You can always go the emulator route if the app is to old for Windows 10/11.

Prices are good on SSDs right now and predicted by some to get better. Just say no to HDD.

4 tb drives for like $260.  Dang I feel old sometimes.

I remember when a friend came home with a 20 mb HDD for his Tandy.  20 INSANE mb!  I was green with envy.
