Proof how sound engineers can make or break an artist with FX, OR monitors.

Obviously, no effects rack or monitors at a ball game.

She cooked herself. Kinda feel sorry for her. I can’t see IEMS (in ear monitors).
But even talking to an arena echo can throw you way off.
Checking mics without monitors on, I can barely say the next word as echo from the last word hits your ears. Jumbles the brain. You cannot find being on key.

I don’t know why anyone would ever attempt to sing in an arena without IEMs or ear plugs at the least. I thought Yoko was singing…

R/baseball last night was hilarious on reddit. I feel bad for her. We had to change channel mid song because it was so bad. Some where saying it was the sound crew with autotune, but Idk. The way she sang it didn't really do justice for any sound mix up though. Give her credit for going up there and singing it, but damn her reputation what ever it was will certainly be tarnished as one of the worst national anthems in history.

Meh! They don’t know what they are talking about. Autotune is always detectable, it has a synth edge to it. Autotune is in an fx rack, they’d have to wheel in and put in line with house sound system.

The arena house sound engineer probably would not allow or not able to allow her sound people to hook up or operate anything for a 2 min song, including IEMs. Straight in straight out. She was raw with no aids, IMO.

That 2 min put a hurt to her. She’ll never do that again.

If you listen to Cher, I think its Do You Believe, or whatever the title is, autotune is in your face.

People like Kenya West relies on it because he simply can’t sing. Today most hip hop and rap way over use it because they really are NOT singers.

Never heard of her. I'm not a big country music fan and since my wife is I asked her it was...my wife didn't know.
But my wife did agree with me... the singer WAS terrible!

Ha! Makes total sense.
I have quite a few stories of launching blasted artist on stage and watching them blow it.
Have to admit I didn’t even think of it. I should know better. But HA!
