Can someone give me the lowdown on MNM ? It was recommended by a friend and I know nothing about it.
Come check it out tonight - 7-8pm CST, events tab, SEA2 an hour of fun dying and killing. They've added LCS (lead computing sight) as a training aid and sometimes air starts as well. The usual crowd is about 10 people but it has hit higher numbers. Admittedly, it can take a few times showing up to start to get the hang of it and once you do, you can appreciate it for the hour of fun it is.
The write-up posted was a little in deviation on the "usual" plane set - it's usually early and mid war fighters and a few random attack bombers like the Tu or Val. Occasionally, the usual plane set will be replaced with some other special set, like BoB or all 38's or all IJN - these can sometimes include later war planes. The write up was same usual plane set but divided by axis vs allies as opposed to all being available on both sides.
The usual map is a cage fight set up with fog and buildings. Check this video for an example. 8 mins, watch in as high resolution as you can for better quality image. The first 90 secs are me taking off and heading to the middle. I have many AH films of MNM, but the viewer doesn't show the fog or reduced icon effects. I used GeForce video overlay to capture. Many streamers use this feature of the newer vid cards. I run it occasionally when I'm trying to show the differences between what we see in game (blackout effects, fog or all indicators showing action) and film viewer (no b/o effects, no fog, fewer gauges activity displayed.)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FaeBMm7gUARight now (8/5/24 10am CST), however, the BoB channel map is up in SEA2. Not sure what tonight's (8/5) set up will be - perhaps BoB, 109e/110c vs spit1/hurri1 over the channel - much less fog effects and a bit more spread.
Hope to see you there.
oh, yeah, frequent attendee GOODBYE often flys a jug when available. Just sayin'
