DRAFT Joystick settings page, for review.
« on: September 18, 2024, 07:05:38 PM »
This page is NOT complete.
On this page I am attempting to illustrate the settings in visuals, as people tend to understand graphics over text..

The text on this page is not complete, nor edited YET. Some clipboard images are just space fillers and not correct for that illustration. It's a draft.

Comments, good or bad, are welcome. If you see something that is not correct please reply.

Dude I tried out you recommend AH3DX11 video settings for my NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1660 Super card. My fps jumped from 60 to 240. Amazing jump. GPU fan runs a lot more is only downside.

Remember, any fps above your refresh rate the extra frames will be dropped. However the frames are readably available in this mode. Its usually VSync or a combo that pops the cork on the bottle. It’s very smooth.

My guess you monitor is 60hz refresh rate, same as mine.

Suggestion.
If your monitor highest is 60hz I would set a frame rate max slightly higher in nvidia control panel to 80-120. Why work the card into heat if it drops frames.

Setting the max a touch higher the card will make more frames available. Visually, your eyes will not detect any difference when you max limit to say 80. My 3060ti is set to 120. Your card should run cooler. If you set 80 fps max its a strict 80 in game.

You can also afford to implement a quality setting or two, in game or nvidia. My game details are maxed out.

These pages are still being updated.

Point taken on the frame rate being to high and I locked it down to ninety after some experimenting with different rates. I gotta remember to do the same to Minecraft before my grand daughters next visit.  Now back to studying the stick scaling pages.

Just keep in mind on the stick page,.. that example is my stick that is in horrific condition. However, as noted, its best to infuse muscle memory with a light smooth touch, instead of using settings for hard handling. Use just a slight to tackle stick mechanic flaws.

Every stick is different, even the same model. Its just an example.

YW
Its one of many hobbies that keep me busy.
Its nowhere near as big as the former AH Tech Hangar, but most are no days vets with this stuff. My last site had 70 pages. Ha!

I just hope it gets everyone at the same level of performance, that’s the goal the last 30 yrs. Bsd pc performance can hide true skills, remove it from the equation.
