I have reported people i was not even conversing with. It is rare, but I have done it. Just because they go on and on and on attacking folks or berating folks. It gets old.
You're more than aware .squelch exists. Also that ch200 is entirely opt-in?
You're aware people have, literally, for decades asked for a perma-squelch? (Some even made a macro that serves this purpose, iirc)
Are you aware of the impact of .rpt? I mean it's parameters, etc?
So again:
How do you feel about 2 sides ganging up on the smaller 3rd side?
How do you feel about people constantly bypassing the language filter?
How do you feel about being a nice 1 v 1 and then getting picked by 2 latecomers?
How do you feel about ho and goers, right back to hide in ack or numbers?
How do you feel about all the (GVers, mostly tbh) whinging about cheat this, hack that?
If you're okay with all the above, which is fairly constant, then I guess you're okay with allowing a few people to abuse .rpt and turn into some kind of a perma-squelch because they don't like being called a... gunbunny? Because *I* called them a weeb. lofl, a weeb, you ask? Considering "dweeb" has always been inside the line of non-offensive, a weeb is just a modern take, a weeb is a dweeb without a d.
So, once again, there exist tools that don't come with the ramifications of .rpt (do you even know how its implemented?)
** .squelch is for annoyance
** auto-filter (bad language) comes with a warning before you get a wee time out of 10 mins.
** mods, if they're on and are bothered enough, have discretion from warnings to bans maybe up to 2 hrs and possibly the ability to boot a player from arena (like a CM.)
** .rpt used to be reserved for offensive, repeated statements, you know, nasty stuff we have all seen that has no place in the buffer.
I call player X a weeb for zzz behavior (there are more concentrated amounts of weebz left now, I guess)
Players X U and Z all start to hump my ankle, often with non-game related stuff and bypassing the filter (which you've seen me mention, plus truly nasty no business being said on ch200 stuff.)
I shake my ankle then even more jump on my ankle. So, tell me, who's really being a dik and abusing the chat buffer (or other aspects of the game?)
You think I'm about to let a bunch of weebz dictate ch200? I'm not, I don't.
Seriously, "gunbunny"
