Wednesday night after the election around 7:45pm the wife and I saw lights in the sky above Lake Pierce FL from the fishing pier at Oak Hammock Campground that we couldn't explain

It was a series of 4 red lights that glowed individually then faded out in a horizontal row almost .. it happened twice about a minute apart, the wife caught the second occurrence on her phone

Weather was nasty as rain/front was in the area

My father in law is a retired seabee/Vietnam vet stated he thought it might be jet afterburners moving away from us after viewing the clip

That makes the most sense I guess, two groups of 4 jets moving out fast

Not sure I can post the film from her phone it's over 50mb

Does anyone know of video showing the exhaust glow of a jet going into afterburner at night?

I mean they would have had to be moving directly away from us to present us with the view we had

Or we saw something else...cue outer limits music..

Can't say much without film, need to know distance of lights, any sound? Altitude? Ect.

No sound, a waya away if they were jets..

We were looking up at about a 60 degree angle but couldn't tell the distance but they looked far away

It's the most unexplained sighting either of us have ever seen

Noticing a lot of V22s flying around at night.   

If they have the prop tip lights on, it will make two circles that look like what you describe from a distance.

That's a ways north of where we were and they would have been heading south for us to view their exhaust..

Avon Park might have been their target as it would have been south of us..

I suppose they could be afterburners.  They all seem to stay on for about the same duration, until going dark.
Pretty cool, whatever they are.

I would have suggested flares (countermeasures) but they are usually longer lived than those.

Flares usually look more like they’re falling too. The video doesn’t convey any motion that suggests they’re falling. The lights appear static with little motion relative to the camera. If it was a formation of afterburners, that last guy was out of position.

Ours was definitely not starlink but that would have freaked us out too
