This is the second of the Soviet Hurricanes requested by Devil.
This Hurricane was flown by Soviet ace Captain Matvey Efimov of the 3rd Guards Fighter Regiment of the Baltic Sea Fleet in late 1942. The 25 victory stars on his aircraft include between 9 and 12 individual kills with the balance being shared. Most of these were scored on the Leningrad Front from the beginning of the war in the Lagg-3, with the regiment switching to the Hurricane in August 1942. January 1943 saw Efimov and several other senior pilots board an Il-4 bomber bound for another airfield to pick up new aircraft to ferry back. Unfortunately the exhausted bomber pilot forgot to reset the elevator trim to takeoff position which caused the plane to stall and crash, killing all on board.
