This Sherman named "Aquino" was an up-armoured M4A3E2 assault tank with a 76mm gun. It was assigned to A company of the 6th Armored Division's 15th Tank Battalion in 1945 when the division was advancing through Germany. Like all the division's tanks it had a large call sign number painted on both sides of its hull. The 15th Tank Battalion's wolf's head logo was painted in a white square just to the rear of the number.
