Stream Deck
« on: April 04, 2026, 08:55:17 AM »
A recent update made the virtual decks work properly. Great for a touch screen monitor and useful for non touch also though you have to click the buttons with the mouse.

This just shows a page duplicated from my deck to the touch screen. The deck and screen are independent and can interact.

If you've never seen a Stream Deck what you can't tell is that the buttons can be animated. Many of mine are. The motion makes for quicker identification. A Stream Deck can also integrate with a game showing gear or flaps moving into the specified position for example if the game or a plugin supports this. If not supported you can simply toggle the image based on the last command sent to the game.

Several of the Damned (Myself Included) have stream decks. I use the XL model. One of our members Ghost put together a Tutorial on setting it up for DCS. However DCS does output data to devices like WinWing Panels and such. I'm not sure Aces High can do the same. I doubt you could get any of your gauges or lights to output but you can still use it as a macro pad or for desktop/media controls while your playing.

I've gotten so used to mine in just about everything I do on the computer it would be hard to do without it.

Not even sure I could find the Wordle page without it.  ;)

For a few weeks now, mine has been popping up with an update. I download and nothing happens.
Guess I need to delete it and redownload.

A recent update fixed the virtual devices so it is worth getting for sure.
