VR analog Pitch and Yaw not working
« on: June 12, 2026, 03:01:41 PM »
On the thrustmaster throttle, there is an analog hat switch.  On non-VR I can assign View Pitch and yaw to that analog hat switch and it works.  In VR I can assign it, and in Advance it shows it is working but the view does not move when the hat switch is moved.

Any ideas?

I think it would be because you can only have one action programmed. You have head tracking with the headset so you cant have anything else do head tracking. Just a guess.

Fugitive's right, but just to clarify, what I think he means is you can only have one analog control assigned to something like that, which is correct.

Extrapolating a bit, are you trying to be able to use views to look behind you etc with your VR setup?  If so, you need to assign button presses to say, look behind you.  I am unfamiliar with Thrustmaster gear, do you have an option to make that stick function as an 8-way or 4-way hat?  If so that might get you where you want to be.  If not, if it has another hat that is switches, that should work.

Additionally, when you're pressing the view switch, like say to look back, if you hold the button then move your head in a direction and hit F10, it will move the location your head centers on when you hold that view button, the same as when you're not holding a view button.  So you can set it up to be always looking to the side of your seat when you look back, etc.

If you think you are having a 1v1 in the Main Arena, your SA has failed you.

Hitech has hat views with his implementation of vr in AH which makes the vr experience superior to other flight sims that do not..

If it worked in VR it would be so cool.  In non VR   I set it up with 50% damping.  The movement is just slow enough to give you a good read on that part of the sky or land as it sweeps to it's setting.
