The most challenging aspect of the 262 is avoiding the colision. your going so fast that unless u adjust vector you'll hit the target about the same time your slow potatoe slugs do
My record is a 9 kill streak with the 262 on 1 ammo load. That would be 3 pounced afk climbers, 2 BnZ'ers (nailing em when they come up), 2 TnB's (diving into a furball and hopeing something turns yer way) 1 b26 and 1 flakie. ( i had no choice on the flakie, on the deck running for my life from some fast 51's, crest a hill and there he was at 600 yards. little rudder adjustment, 25 rounds out the ports and the flakie when BOOM)
My worst for hit % sorite was a dog fight with a p51. For some reason i got tired of zooming in and out and skies were clear so i went at it with this mustang. We turned, we scissored we climbed we dove... was one of the most awesome fights i've ever had in 262. he's got hits into me.. i have none into him. I finnaly postion up and behind him 500 yards and he rolls over and goes straight down. I roll over and follow cutting throttle to 30%. Down we go like that for 10,000 feet. Mustang pulls out tighter and up we go.. i saddle back up and we are in pure verticle now. 262 will sustain this much longer than the 51 will, at start of climb i was down to 50% gun load.... 51 starts to hang and stall ... and i lay into the trigger stud, aircraft bucking ... rudder adjustment... rolls... NOT A SINGLE potato hit! i dumped my entire load and climb past him by maybe 100 yards, and there we hung like that for seemed liek an eternity.
Gravity took over, i got into a nearly flat spin and pulled out near 2k. I never saw that pony again. But I will always remember the time i decided to dog fight in a 262.
