I CANT BELIEVE IT !!! 1.09 a/c additions
« on: January 13, 2002, 05:52:26 PM »
From PYRO's news:

Quote
The other plane additions in 1.09 at this time are from the early war. There will be a Bf 110C, a 109E, a Spitfire I, a Hurricane I, and perhaps some other surprises. This will give us broad coverage of the war period; we just need to fill in the holes. This wide range of planes gives us a lot of options to expand our future plane set and the gameplay offerings we can provide. We should have some new aircraft screenshots out this coming week.

:) A happy customer :)

I can even say North Africa: we'll have Hurricane I and II, Spitfire MkV, 109E, F and G2, Macchi C.202, Tanks, Ju88's .... we'd need a P40 and a medium RAF bomber and voila' :)

Terrific planeset for the CT - I can't wait!  The 109E is the meanest looking of all the 109s, which are all pretty mean looking!

Very excited here also!

 MA? Who cares?  :)

CT's gonna be very very very fun for a long amount of time for me :)

 P-40s.. F4Fs.. A6M2s.. LaGG-3s.. Yak-1Bs..

just these few more and the choices for the CT is going to be immense, literally! From BoB to Afrika, Eastern front 1941... going on to early Pacific theater ...

 :) :) :) :) :) :)

OH my GOSH, me and Funked agree on something ;)

Seriously, I'm glad you guys are finally getting some of your early war stuff, but it totally bores me to death.

I would have thought we would get the Me410 before the Me110, but that is life :)

I'll be interested to see how the Bf110 is modelled. In AW it always seemed kinda uber relative to the anecdotal evidence of WW2 pilots on both sides. I hear it was the same in WB as well?

Disclaimer - this is not a pre-emptive while, I'm just interested in how good the RL version actually was  ;)

We could also due a North Africa campaign also.  All we need now is some P40s and P39s... I believe they were used in North Africa.

Do any of you care to share some performance charts and other data you might have lying around on these new additions to the planeset?

I'm especially interested in the 110c (and other models of the 110).  That way the luftweiners and the righteous allies can get their flames lit up...

Funked and Verm, you are right about the Main Arena but those addictions will be very useful for the CT and the Scenarios.

I really hope that AcesHigh will develop toward a good RPS and more balanced, historical and interesting scenarios. That is 1940-42 events. Obviously it is only MHO.

The RAF used the B26 from 1942 onwards in the Med Sea/Africa, so there you go!
