OK I think ive kept my lip buttoned long enough....
« on: January 15, 2002, 10:01:31 AM »
Ive been playing in theCT as often as I can and Ive seen changes to the arena which I didnt agree with but I kept quiet because I had the notion that the CT staff would change/adjust things as they went.

But I feel I have to say that I think the rebuild times in CT are FAR to quick.Could we please have it increased?

it too near to MA and isnt encouraging all types to fly in there. Those that fly bombers should be encouraged not forced out by others syaing they want a fighter arena like AKnimitz.

And WHY OH WHY havent you changed the CT arena setup???

I know phillipenes is new and requires work but the CT has some initiative at the moment and it will be lost if we remain static on 1 map.
If  the next scenario isnt ready yet then change to an old one in the meantime.Laack of variety is killing CT in the last days in each week.from Thursday onwards CT lost numbers each day until by saturday/sunday it was almost empty.

If you need a CM to change it , Ive offered to join , and i'll do my best to ease any workload I can.If its a much more complicated matter then at least explain why it is.

At the moment any player entering the CT would think it wasnt running.

They are still lacking historical terrain (user made stuff) to make it more interesting than the MA. My 2 cents.

Ripsnort, I Know they are working on new maps. I am still making maps and I am designing them around CT. Althou I have been making custom tiles, I haven't really played with the objects and need to get up to par with creating strats and stuff. I am learning it in leaps and bounds and will submit my map to the CT team shortly.  10bears and Weasel flew in it and answered MANY questions I had and got me over the hump.

ONE day, HTC just may use one of mine:)

S! Hazed

I have been working as hard as I can to get the Stalingrad terrain up.

We planned to have it up after Hblairs Baltic setup, but on Saturday the 5th when Pyro and myself started the setup, we found bugs which made it impossible to use.

Since then 10 Bears, the map designer, has redone the terrain and resubmitted it to Ronni and Pyro.  However they both have been too busy with the update to the Bulletin Boards to check if it is now correct.  As soon as they do that, I will put it in the Arena along with a Stalingrad plane set.

I will be reducing the number of C-47's available to the players, and I will be reducing the rebuild time a bit.

As far as Sabre's '44 Phillipines setup is concerned:

He too is waiting for a revised Phillipines map to be completed.  The guys who do these maps work for free and on their own time.  We can't jump all over them if a map is delayed.

The reality of the situation is that we are dependant on outside factors.  We have to take them into account.

Sabre, i was going to ask you HOW you will limit c-47's, then i saw you anser it in another thread.

Will that be implimented ? If so, will it just be server controlled?

Or will we be able to set it in our FE?
