I gave up on Showtime long ago. I keep hearing advertisements on MTV for some silly showtime show "queer as folk".. wtf? You want me to PAY for showtime and have THAT to change the channel to?

No thanks, I'll stick to my quality stations like HBO and Skinemax. I swear, I think network boards are trying to turn our kids into lil' homos just like them.

I dropped all the pay movie channels a few weeks ago, I never watched them anyway-   Have about a 100 DVDs and watching them on my progressive scan TV with beutiful DD/DTSES out of my Energies is much better than P&S TV movies. :)

Anyway I dont care if theres GAYTV, It will be a pay channel and I wont watch it.

Plus I think its very nice how every group has their own TV channel, soon theyll want their own everything else and it will be a fun show USA ala Balkans- then Ill prolly move again somewhere else. :(

You have got to be kidding.

I don't like this trend at all. Down here in S. Florida there is a gay activist group called "Glisten" that is trying to influence county school boards to institute homosexual programs in the schools. I'm dead set against their agenda...

Funny thing though, I have worked with a guy for about 18 years and during that time it slowly dawned on me that the dude is gay, although we don't talk about it. He's a conservative Republican which seems unusual for a gay. Him and I have been in some tough situations over the years. I will never forget that when I was released from a hospital stay when I had fractured vertibrae in my back, this guy came to my apt everyday with food to last me the day, and he washed the dishes etc (I was flat on my back for a while). He did it without me even asking.

This guy now lives with a male nurse. I still work with him. I must admit that I have never been over to their house, because I can't really get past that idea of the gay thing, although I guess I accept it. Wierd.

YOUR vision of morality is not necessarily everyone elses, or even correct. Sorry to break the news to ya.

Homosexual studies belongs in public education about as much as does white power studies. Hey, white power folks need love, too!

Eagler,

Who cares.  Its not like any (many?) of us are going to watch it.

Its capitalism at work, and that is what the US is about after all.

MTV comes as basic cable, yes?

I know showtime doesn't.

My question is this, does this new channel come on basic cable or is it a pay channel?

For some reason I get both HBO and Skinemax on basic (YES!), but MTV itself is on basic.

All I want to know is, will this be a channel I will have to get removed or will it be an option?

If it's a channel I have to get removed or blocked, then I don't like this at all.

If it's a channel I have to personally order- I don't care then.

Point is, I don't want it coming in at all. Much like how I have the religious channels blocked. I just do not want them.

Saw on CNN it will be a subscription channel like HBO/Showtime.

Thats fine by me as Gays are overwhemingly affluent compared to the population at large, they can afford it. Thats not prejudice, its statistics.

Homosexuality is a mental illness that needs to be treated not promoted.

You can call it an "alternative lifestyle" if you want to but it's still not right.

Call me a Homophobe if you want but it still does not change the fact that gay people are not right in the head and should never EVER be allowed near children either in person or on the TV.

If you want your kids to grow up thinking that shoving their dick into another guy's bellybutton is fine or that your daughter should love to go down on another girl then maybe you shouldn't have kids.

I used to say that as long as Gays kept to themselfs that I had no problem with them but it's obvious that they want to corrupt the world with their sickness.

Be thankful that I'm not in charge cause all you sick worthless gays/gay supporters would be locked away so that our children wouldn't have to be near to your sick deluded minds.
