X36 HELP!

My throttle only goes up to 97%, wich is no problem in AH since there is an in game calibiration, I read somewhere that this problem might ocure but can't remember how to fix it, can anyone help me?

Did you recalibrate in windows? I get this occasionally in some games, and if I move the throttle back, then forward again, it usually goes on up to 100%

Same problem here Wilbus. Downloaed the latest Saitek drivers and problem persists. I'm working aroun the problem modifying the scale factor for throttle in the sims. If you have problems with IL2 (no way to scale throttle inside the game), edit the .ini file and put a 99 as the second last value (problem solved).

Kratzer, X36 cant be calibrated from windows.

Wilbus, if you have XP, check How to calibrate USB-X36 under XP .
There's lots of good stuff in saitek help that straffo pointed out. Dang, I'm still waiting my X45! X36 feels good?

Btw I recall here was a article about getting those trim rotaries to work in AH as a trims, use search to find it.

OK! Almost all Setup now. Throttle works to 100% in all sims without having to calibirate it in the sims to 99% or such. Mandoble, go the the page Straffo posted, then go to "Calibiration Instructions", you will find all information in there, gotto download a few programs but worh it, the instructions seem pretty many at first but didn't take me more then 10 minutes to fix it. Let me know if you need help in any way.

Got my rotary wheels as trims aswell (took a look at Revvins AH profile then made my own). Works GREAT and it's gonna be great to use it in combat.

And YES, this X36 is just wounderfull, although I seldom stalled with my Sidewinder stick it happaned, so far I've found that this X36 has got alot more controll to it, and it feels alot more realistic.

Really? Point me at this profile - I'm addicted to using the rotary for elevator trim in Il-2... right now my rotary does my brakes in AH... trim would be much more useful

I can send you my setup too of you like. The rotary is REALLY simple to set up actually. Right click the wheel in the Profile creation program. Choose whatever mode you like, I've got mine at Mode 1, then make sure it is set as BANDED.
A little window pops up wich says, EDIT BANDS, click it, then split the band into 2 pieces, one will controll trim down (if elevator) and one up. When you setup the keys for it, you should have press, repeat, release, map whatever tim button you should have to each one (just push K or whatever like you do with everything else). When this is done for both the parts, push with the mouse slightly above the center, make a new part and stretch it as much down bellow the cencter line as it is above. Don't map ANYTHING to this since it is the dead zone.

X45 trim rotor profile

X36 trim rotor profile

my profiles have three bands, a very small center band without any programming so the trim stops.

the rudder thingy is the aileron trim while the other rotors are rudder and elevator

pretty basic profiles, good starting point.

Thanks guys!

I went and added the banded bit into my trim knobs, and it is much nicer than using the keyboard.

I hope that someday HTC will make trim an axis controllable function, so you can use the full range of the knob to dial in the trim exactly and leave it there instead of having to roll back and forth to line it up... but this is a big improvement for now!

Wilbuz i had same prob i got thrustmaster propanel it will allow you to calibrate x36.

There are several other things you can do to "fix" it if this doesnt work.

Cc, got it work 100% now, just followed the steps on the help page.

Saitek make GREAT products, unfortunatly they/software have bugs in them. This throttle problem seems to be connected to the Normal HAT on the Throttle aswell, have the Throttle at 100% it gives out about 97%, move teh hat around and it will go up to 100%.
