How much fuel takes a plane?
« on: January 28, 2002, 05:55:49 AM »
Hi all,

I have a question regarding fuel loadout:

How long lasts the fuel (25%, 50%, ..., drop tank)  in the 190A5 or F6F? Or in a more global sense where can I get data about fuel consumption and the different tanks i.e. AFT and AUX and ...?

check out my flight tests site on my signature.
The fuel consumption subject is almost complete and hopefully will be soon.

Mosquito VI - twice the spitfire, four times the ENY.

the almost incomplete and not entirely inaccurate guide to the AH Mosquito.

Thx guys. Very interesting pages. They helped me a lot but often I can't remember how long I am flying. So I need additional information about the different tanks i.e. A-LO, Main, AUX...
That means I want to know the different tanks an AC has in which sequence these tanks are used and (but I think this is very difficult) how long these tanks last.
Yes, I know I could make these tests on my own but I'm extremly lazy and maybe someone has made it yet.
To make it an itty bitty bit easier I'm primary interested in the FW190A5, any 109, the Mossie, F6F and any kind of bombers.

Thanks in advance and a big to all you guys that give such very good response to all those rookies (like me) and pro's.
