Decided to practice a bit of 100% fuel and 2x 1kg bombs and rockets max loadout with Chogs from CV's.
Taking off and landing with 30 mph crosswinds.
And with a Manouvering CV on lift and land is no problem.
However with a 30mph crosswind i notice a discrepancy, either that or i am losing my marbles.
Setup was steaming north on CV set a sea level to 2000ft 30mph crosswind blowing to the east, as expected i had to use a lot of rudder to stop the nose swinging to the right and sending me into the superstructure, but no problems lift off ok, however when landing coming in from the south same wind direction your plane apparently drifts drastically to the west ! requiring you to rudder the nose east when on take off it was ruddering the nose to the west ???
If anybody is bothered give it a go and see what you think.
Or maybe the CV is being blown to the east like a piece of confetti.
In case you are wondering its for TOD or scenario preparation that i was interested as I dont wanna stuff it at launch just cos the CM's might have forgotten about crosswinds.
Well it has happened before
