Historical or not, I think this is one of the best thought out terrains it has ever been my pleasure to be shot down in, Well thought out field displacements, sensible spawn points, Great textures WTG to all involved in it's construction, testing etc.

What snafu and westy said !  :)

Had a great time in there this afternoon. Fantastic terrain Nuttz ! :D

Like westy said, even saw Pyro take a few flights. For someone you don't see much in the arena's, he's one tough bugger to shoot down.  :D

I had two good 1on1's and went 1 and 1 with pyro in a 109. Gonna file those films under "keepers".  :D

Thanks CT team.

I agree, this is simply the best terrain I've ever seen.
Looks really realistic, no big frame hit either.

I have to agree with all the Previous posts, this is a great Map and terrain set.

I do have a question though.  For some reason, with no changes to My system, which is low end btw, I seem to be getting better FPS within the Perdonia Terrain, and noted yesterday while flying and fighting that little warping seemed to be going on.  Is this a part of the Terrain Generation, or did I just luck into a seemingly stable connection ??

Has anybody else noted a better FPs while flying Perdonia ??  My  " normal " FPS in the previous CT set ups has been 5 - 8 fps, yet I noted yesterday that it was in the 8 to 12 range.:)  I know that sux big ones, but ANY improvement makes Me a Happy Camper.  If the Terrain Model makes a difference in FPS, I'll fly anything Nuttz generates, Happily.:D

And yes, before anybody asks, I am saving money for a better V-card.  Gotta fly with what ya got, till ya can afford the new toys.:o

Yes, I have found that this map is faster, on avg 10fps faster :)

It looks very CFS ish, this being a good thing!

question, is this terrain based on anywhere or madeup?

I wonder if it has to do with the sheep as ground clutter. Haven't seen any on this map, and  my fps has gone up also. :D

Thank you for all the nice comments.

Hblair, sent me an Idea, and i just put the pieces together.

To answer a few questions...
Yes, this is a real part of the earth, but it was changed to balance gameplay, and made so the CV's could fight each other.

As far as the frame rate hit, I've had my squad in many of my maps and they have said they get better frame rates. It could be a few things, H2h is only 8 people max, Ct is on Skuzzy's server. I didn't use the sheep clutter. But then again someone said thier FR's dropped.

I can only build a map by what i see on my computer, which on a scale 1-10 i would rate it a 7. So some may see things better ,some worse.

pIII 800
512  Ram
asus MB v4( something) ( via chipset)
7200 rpm 45 gig HD
asus gforce 32 meg color card ( first generation)
SB live 5:1
Ch products ( old analog)

HTC, for giving us the tools and oppertunity to make these maps.

Once again, Thank for the nice words.

you call this a map??????

JOKING!! :D

great map , thnx for all the hard work Nuttz and others involved.
It has a very 'open plains of Russia' feel and a Baltic flavour.I think it will be a superb map.

(btw a37 seems to have a problem/bug with the hanger)

Yep great map!  I enjoyed it a lot.

Yeah, HT and Pyro were both flying yesterday aft. in the CT.  HT was on Allied side, pyro was running Axis.  Didn't see much of Pyro until my wingy Smut gave me a check 6... and I turned to see an ME 262 at D 1.9 and closing like only a 262 can.  BLAM.  Pyro gunned me down in his Jet. :D

Good to see the HTC crew havin' fun in the CT too.
