With the release of the most recent Targetware
(Target Korea) v.034, we would like to solicit participation from any flight simulation enthusiasts who are accredited Aeronautical Engineers, or students working towards that qualification, to join our "closed beta" team. For that matter, we would also like to invite anyone else within these communities with an interest, training and talent in engineering style mathematics, as it is applied to flight simulation airfoil physics, damage and ammunition type/lethality modeling.
The Targetware flight simulation engine, designed and written by
Sickware, has reached a stage of maturity and development where we would like to see serious scientific and empirical data stress testing conducted by highly qualified and enthusiastic community professionals. The planes we would like to focus upon initially are the
F86F-30, the
MiG-15bis and the
F-51D. Since this is a MMP (massive multi-player) on-line flight simulation, designed by players for players, the purpose is to focus upon those players from the community with strong credentials to validate, audit and authenticate the flight models, physics and the actual software engine, based upon technical data, realism and game design.
The Targetware flight simulation engine is completely designed from the ground up with "open architecture" and "strategic" game play in mind, while simultaneously permitting complete public access to ALL technical data used within the simulation. So, for example, the data used to feed the airfoil physics engine is publicly available and can be easily read with a standard text editor. wells@targetware.net, Targetware's Aeronautics/Chief Test Pilot. Wells tells me that he's already signed on some well known and talented community aeronautical experts, but we could use some more for anyone who's interested.
