I seem to be haveing trouble adjust some of the volumes in the sounds set up .
First .. my set up.. I am using the Soundblaster Live Value with the latest drivers and an AMD athalon xp1800+ on an ASUS A7v266 mother board with 512M of RAM. When flying online I use a headset with an attached mic, being able to have the Wave volume up pretty loud without speaker feedback, also the mic is right next to my mouth also elimanating feedback.
Problem... some sounds not adjustable, some sounds twice as loud as others eventhough they are set to a "Value" of half of the others. i.e. To be able to hear the guys using AHVoice, I have had to pull my engine sound down to a "Value" of 15. all other sounds are set slightly lower with the exception of my gun sounds. They are set to "6" and are still twice as loud as the engines. The Flaps sound is pulled up to about 30 so I can hear it. any less than that and I can't even hear it. The other sounds that I can't seem to adjust at all are not used much online anyway.... (external rocket sounds and such..)
Suggested Solution.... I think it would help a great deal if Hi Tech and gang would do a little work on the sound set up option and included individual slidders, with an option to "Lock" all slidders together and also if the the slider bar would have Tic Marks.
