X45 and dual input commands
« on: March 06, 2002, 11:28:34 PM »
Hey guys,

I've been trying all night to get my new X45 working in AH.  So far I've gotten as far as programming all the buttons to my liking, rudders included, but  I can't seem to get my POVs to work.  Specifically, I cant do any dual button commands, ie: Look Forward Up, KP_8+KP_5.  A single Look Back, KP_2 works fine.  It seems to execute the first button but the last one doesn't seem to know its show time.  I've loaded the drivers and the software on my Winders XP box, have tried different SST configs till Im blue in the face.  I have downloaded Eagler's configs and tried to match them so I am really confused.  I'd appreciate some help on this one.

Other than that, X45s rock.

TIA

Yams

for the up view I use a different button ( the oval hat on the throttle). I pull this up (keep it up) then use the main hat on the throttle to look around in the up view state.

Like Eagler i combine the forward hat on the throttle with my js hat to get up and down versions of the default views.

I also do as much in the AH stick set up as possible........ that blasted profiler is very system heavy.

However for buff runs I switch it on as I have the main rotary banded for all different gun positions (rapid scrolling through gun positions enabled) and the forward rotary banded for F6,F1,F3,F8.

I have redefined the pinkie as Direct X button 7 so that AH recognises it.

Any one know where I can get a thinner wire JS spring to make the  js a bit lighter to the touch.  Or even a base plate to bolt the two sets to?

Hey guys,

I am getting no where with this stick.  For some unknown reason my throttle isnt working in AH anymore.  It was last night.  Only diff since then is a reboot.  I can see the Z Axis moving at the Joystick screen but it doesnt make my rudder move.  Also, programming keys doesnt seem to want to cooperate either.  The keys I've programmed don't show up in AH.  Like looking up.  Simple right?  KP_5 mapped to POV1 Up.  Nothing, de nada, nil.  Am I doing something blatently wrong here?
