Author Topic: Graphics suggestions for 1.09 (Read 430 times)

I have noticed that Aces High has some graphics that could be greatly improved with some added features to it. For instance, they should have a lens flare when looking into the sun (like Adobe Photoshop's lens flare) and you should be blinded by the sun (now that would be cool).
Also, the clock should be fixed because I know that a couple of people and I are sick and tired of flying in the morning, afternoon, and nightime. What happened to the sunset, or the fact that night time lasted more than just 15 minutes (unless you had the multiplier at 0) and simple things like that. That's all I can think of and if they fixed that for 1.09 (or even 1.08 Patch 5, 6, or 7

) then I would be one happy person.

Let me know what you guys can think of.

if the time multiplier was set to represent actual times there would be a lot of ppl really disapointed about having 12 hours of night time in the arena. i know i would. flying in the night is hard. it can be fun sometimes but much more than 15-20 minuets of it and i get extremely tired of it real quick

This post above is a perfect reason for removal and a nice ban from the game. They need a vacation please. That is about as NON-american as it gets!! Also it really pisses me off

I don't see why they should add lens flare. I don't ever see lens flare it in real life--just in images captured on camera. Waste of CPU time IMO. There should be a much larger glare effect and blinding from the sun though, making attacks out of the sun possible.

Certainly it has gameplay/realism possibilies.

cc, I'd really like to see what HT could come up with as far as a realistic "looking into the sun" effect. Kind of like driving home West on the freeway (hwy 26 for DJ) after work, and having to look in the direction of the setting sun. Of course, it always pissed me off on the freeway, don't know if it would in the game or not.

You guys do know that "cupcake" can also mean "cheapskate", as in one who requests improvements to a game that he is too cheap to pay for?

Not saying that's how it was meant, but it is a possibility.

Popeye, you are referring to this word, which is not the same thing, and should probably be avoided in everyday usage anyway simply because of its high likelyhood to be misconstrued as the base and disturbing word used above.

The Oxford English Dictionary defines "cupcake" to be a variant of "niggard", (as well as other definitions).

I agree, both terms should be avoided.
