Hazed try to encode avi's to the wmv or mpg format. I made few films earlier by using Media Box 5 (http://www.e-soft.co.uk looks like site is down right now) to encode avi files to vmw format.

Wouldnt the Dvix coedec be best?  Ive always found it to make movies a lot smaller, but still with good quality
