I am not sure how things are handled here, but I venture to guess you need to be a little bit more specific about your system specs.  Do a find/file/search gig on your windows directory for a utility called dxdiag.  Run the utility and see if it gives you any error messages etc, etc.  Same utility gives you all your system specs you can put in a text file and then post so maybe someone can find "the glitch"

It also helps if you post in the Bug Reports or Hardware forums.  Also, post your system specs.
I'd offer advice, but I just draw.   ;)

Chaos,

Go to the hardware or the tech support portion of the bbs and ask for help. You'll find there are quite a few folks here who are very knowledgable and like to help out. When you post list the following about your system specifications.

CPU type and level
Motherboard (if you know it)
amount of memory
video card brand and model
(it would be very helpfull to make sure you have the latest drivers for it already.)
Operating system, 95 / 98 /ME /2k etc.
sound card brand and model
DX loaded. (DX7, 8, 8.01)

It sounds like a lot but that info will likely get you help the fastest. Good luck.
