Tried Prune juice or Metamuxel today folks?
« on: May 28, 2000, 10:21:00 AM »
"I see people getting bent over something that they're not even familiar with. We don't yet have an easy mode, we don't yet know exactly how we're going to implement one, and we don't yet know if we'll be able to mix it or not. However, we do fully understand the issues involved. "

Keeripes almighty people!  What part of that paragraph does anyone not understand??

Even a restaurant-food critic waits to taste the dish before they rip it apart or praise it. And I really wish a number of you folks would just SHUT THE HELL UP and stifle the hysterics. Too much like a bunch of fu&&ing cackling hens.

Very sincerely,

But the customer is in his right to say that if the food changes to a flavour he doesnt like, then he will be gone not to return until the flavour he likes is back.

And that is what I am doing, nothing more nothing less. I saay it again. I find OK that HTC brings EZmode to AH...but not to the MA where I am flying. If it is done then I'll be gone until the "flavour" I like is back.

Is so hard to understand?

 Of course!

I'm refering the conjecture, the specualtion, the doom&gloom and over reaction on many peoples part. And I'm not singling any one person out. Just that the over all tone of discussions on this board has, in the space of about a week, gone from pretty bad to downright ugly - especially in regards to this relaxed physics issue.

But ram your screaming it in the resteraunt to all the customers, before you even know what the dish will be.

Id say that's a tad overactionary.

And also your just stating what is always obvious to us. If we don't provide a game that a person likes he won't be there.

I know you feel strongly about this issue and that you wish to portray that. But your type of post put us in a position where if they continue we will begin viewing your post as always coming from the view "I wan't it my way and am not willing to consider any others" Because you have drawn a line in the sand and to step away from it now , no matter how it ends up weather you like it or not would make you loose face.

On a side note. Was EZ v Real even an issue before HotSeat started the topic on his board? I realy can't rember much debate over the topic prior to that.

HT, I think the EZ -vs- Real became an issue in WB when it became known that something like 60% were flying in EZ mode, and that there was in fact some advantages using it.

There were times I could never figure out just how the hell some guy could outturn me when I was right on the edge, using every trick I ever learned.  I would just chalk it up to some guy having superior skill, and at times that probably was it, but now I find out many time it was dweebs in ez mode who didnt risk stalling, spinning or blackout.

Thats what I dont like hearing, and sure hope this doesnt occur here in AH.  I havent been making any noise on this board about it coming here, I will wait to see if it does, what happens and what the results are.

Frustrating enough to finally get the hang of taking off the hog, (dieing 20 times or more trying) when you gave us autotakeoff.  What I kinda felt I earned, the skill to get it airborne, is now free.  Oh well, I accept that as good for the game.  Once a guy is in the air, it should revert back to skill and practice.

Just my 2 cents.

Hubfmmmm...I must agree. I may (like so many times) have overreacted. But if I am in this mood is because I strongly love AH and I feel that the real danger is there.

No, Hitech. I can say that you are wrong here. I refer to EZmode as the one in Warbirs, as the one that gives one player a significant and clear advantage over other.
If you implement things like the autotakeoff here, I will stay. If you, somehow, play the magic (as you usually do  ) and bring some EZmode that can be introduced in MA without givin advantages to the users over the non-users, then I'll gladly step back and say that I was wrong.

I have done it other times with other issues. And I'll be proud to do it if the things go OK. The line on the sand is valid for the EZmode yet said.

not from me as I didnt know what EZmode was. When I aknowledged it, then I made my mind. Before that I even didn't know what was that.

HT, again I am sorry if I have gone too far. If I have done it is because I dont want to have to choose between an EZmode like the one in WB, or going away. Because I dont want to do that choice.
