Toowoomba and Brisbane pilots ...
« on: July 06, 2000, 05:18:00 AM »
Imagine my utter-utter suprise the other night when I bumped into a fellow Toowoomba-ite!

I've lived in this town for nigh on 13 years, and haven't come across a single solitary warbird simulation nut, until a chance encounter with Bluedog  .

I know there are plenty of Australian's out there but are there any more Toowoomba and Brisbane pilots lurking in the wings?

If you are, please reply to this post

Cheers

Well Teapot, you know I live in Brisbane.  But if there's any others out there lets get together for a night of drinking, carousing and telling huge lies about our flying ability

A Brisbane-Toowoomba mini-Con?

Better get my Vitamin B tablets ready

Gold Coast, Aust. here.

Nice to see that are a few other Aussie pilots in the local area!

Now we just need that P40 or Boomerang in RAAF colours

Cheers,

Rod

Actually, an Aussie & Kiwi Con wouldn't be a bad idea, as long as we had the numbers.
Maybe we should have a show of hands to establish tentative numbers?

A Brisbane/Toowoomba convention on the other hand is more easily achieved IMO. They're only 1.5 hours drive apart, so expenses shouldn't be astronomical.

Of course anyone who wants to participate should be welcome, even our esteemed New Zealand cousins  , assuming we got going on this.

On the subject of experience setting something like this up, didn't the Melbourne crew have a Warbirds convention once? Any people from that neck of the woods have stories to tell?

Cheers
