Plane mechanics. What the heck is mouse milk penetrating oil? And does it work?

Easy,

Chief Aircraft Supply has it and they say "Mouse Milk Oil is Recommended by AiResearch, Continental, Lycoming, Beechcraft, and Cessna for use in freeing turbine waste gate shafts."

Seems to be famous for retaining lubricating qualities longer than normal penetrating oil. I know a few guys that really like it. I've never used it for anything though.

..answer to that one is yes. Don't even have to call them. Marvel is OK but it does "dry up" pretty fast and even can gum up a bit. Go with the Mouse Milk if you want what ever you are penetrating to stay lubricated.

.... maybe I shouldn't say that to a guy that's been divorced three times!

Our Mechanics use Mouse Milk on the aircraft, and Marvel Mystery Oil (one can) every third tank on the fuel truck.

This thread reminds me of that movie, "Meet the Parents"...when the guys tells de Niro that he used to milk cats and that you can milk any animal that has nipples.

de Niro then asks,"I have nipples, can you milk me?"
