Looking for some help with a problem... whenever I try to start Aces High, i get an error message that says" aceshigh.exe- ordinal not found" and ...ordinal 12 could not be located in ...Dsound.dll" . As a humble end user, I have no earthly idea what this means. I tried to replace the dsound.dll file in my WinNT/sys32 directory, and re-loaded Aces High, to no avail. Anybody had this problem, or can help?

Download Direct X 8.0 or 8.1 and install it. After it is installed you will be able to launch AH. You can get Direct X here http://www.microsoft.com/directx/homeuser/downloads/default.asp

Do you have direct x 8.0a at least? (Or not have a soundcard? )

Go to start -> run and type "dxdiag" (without quotes) to check and see what version you have. It's listed at the bottom the first screen that pops up.

Direct X 8.1 is the newest available and is at http://www.microsoft.com/directx
