Revi Gunsights for you
« on: May 05, 2002, 06:29:38 AM »
Ok, I tried my hand at custom made Revi series gunsights for Luftwaffe fighter fans :) Everything turned out well, except I couldn't find a way to put in proper colors. Somehow whatever color I would try would give me strange results(for instance, color red comes out as black in MSPaint..), so I had to use the colors HTC uses for their default gunsight. I really would have preferred darker orange colors that would be closer to the illuminative colors.

Make sure you have the 'Alpha' level adjusted down a bit with these gunsights.

.. and finally, the Revi16B.

If anyone may want to attempt to adjust their colors, feel free to do so :) I created these with MSPaint with two colors. The main color is what HTC uses with their default sight, and the secondary color is white(which shows up as weird white-greenish).

The main sight lines are two pixels wide in every part, and the tips of all lines are 'swathed' a bit in white to give out a bit of gradiation.

If your going to add additional colors to a sight you must make sure the color you want to use in in the palete for the image. Each images palete is configurable. If you try using colors that are not part of the image palete you'll see things like an all black gunsight or other odities.

Very nice btw

Another note:
Gunsights can be made in 256x256 for greater detail.

Here's a simple one.
